Behaviour of Metastable and Stable Austenitic

The aim of the present study was to investigate the behaviour of a powder metallurgically produced high alloy X5CrMnNi16-7-6 metastable austenitic stainless steel under planar-biaxial loading. For this purpose, cruciform specimens made of this material were subjected both to quasi-static loading and to cyclic loading for low cycle fatigue and crack growth investigations. Low cycle fatigue behavior and microstructure of a Total strain-controlled low-cycle fatigue tests were performed at room temperature on a high alloyed metastable austenitic stainless cast steel in the range of 1x10 -3 t/2 3x10 -2 at constant strain rate of 4x10 -3 s -1 .
